# Autonumber

Autonumber can be used to generate unique numbers in the request based on the defined format.

`Admin → Objects → Autonumber`

## Features

**Reset type**

Feature that enable the auto-numbers to be reset on a yearly basis.

When reset type is set as “Yearly” so defined autonumber will be start with new number.

For example will be defined format YYYY##### (201600001…201600010) next year autonumber will be start from 1 (201700001)

## Fields

| Field | Description | Restrictions |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Source name | Definition of autonumber name. | &nbsp; |
| Reset type | Reset type of autonumber. | None, Yearly |
| Format | Format of autonumber. | Specified below |
| Next number | Under next number you are able to define next number in the order. | Number |

## Format

These formats can be used:

**1) For number #**  
For example: TEXT### returns TEXT001

**2) For year YYYY**  
For example: TEXTYYYY### returns TEXT2016001

**3) For year YY**  
For example: TEXTYY### returns TEXT21001

**4) For month MM**  
For example: TEXTMM### returns TEXT04

**5) For day DD**  
For example: TEXTDD### returns TEXT31
