Application settings for User environment

This article contains all settings which are located in Xeelo Admin - particular environment - Application Settings and are related to Xeelo User environment only.

It is divided into main sections, Global and Others.

Global

ADFS

Settings related to Active Directory Federation Services.

App layout

Formating and coloring.

DB Transfer

Definition of URL and Token for loading DB Transfer remotely. The URL and Token will be filled automatically in DB Transfer section.

Default

Indication of accessibility of users to new Templates, Update actions, import and export.

HTML PDF

IP port, cloud service, Input endpoint password and HTML to PDF license key.

Mobile

Settings related to mobile application.

Notification

SMTP mail server value, notification email address, timeout and an option to unsubscription from notification.

Request Colours

Colours of requests inside My Tasks, All Tasks, My Items and All Items.

Security

Settings related to expiration of password, account deactivation within time period etc.

Password account expiration (days) After first login of user, expiration of password is set according to defined settings. User can easily change his / her password after expiration
Remember max. user expired passwords Definition of how many passwords in row must be different. If admin sets 3, user has to change his / her password 3 times before the first one can be re-used
Password account locking (attempts) Number of attempts to log in before the account will be locked. Whenever account is locked, e-mail with reseting of password is sent
Account deactivation (days) User account will be deactivated after specified days of inactivity. Deactivated user receives an e-mail about inactivity

Session

Expiration and timeout specification, automatic refresh of grid (user interface).

System

HTTP address setting, version of Xeelo database and AAD client ID value.

Enable performance monitor Enabling or disabling of [performance monitor](https://forum.xeelo.com/t/using-performance-monitor-log-console/146) that can help with debugging of clients requests/error and server responses
HTTP address of application server Address is used when system notification is generated (Forgotten password, Deactivation of account etc.)
HTTP address for offline workflow actions Address is used when offline workflow actions (links) are generated within notifications
Allow Paralelism Administrator can allow to enable editing of requests by two different users at the same time. Imagine the situation:
  1. User 1 opens the request
  2. User 2 opens the request
  3. User 1 changes the request and saves it
  4. User 2 changes the request and saves it
In case that paralelism is enabled, current request stores the changes from User 2. In case that paralelism is disabled, User 2 can't save the changes and has to refresh the request to load changes from User 1.

Others

Grid Details

Definition of showing modal window with all objects whenever user click on plus button.

Request Create New Type There are two possibilities - Directly create a new request or Show modal window with all objects

Grid Performance

Settings of displaying of object’s requests which are related to grid performance

Number of lines from SQL to IIS Definition of number of requested lines in SQL statement which are loaded in IIS cache. Lowering of lines can rapidly improve performance of object grid
Show status tabs with number of requests
MyTasks default sorting Default sorting of requests inside My Tasks
AllItems/AllTasks default sorting Default sorting of requests inside All Tasks and All Items
MyItems default sorting Default sorting of requests inside My Items

Request Tags

Settings of a new request default priority (high, medium or low).

Don’t forget to reload cache!

When there are some changes to global application settings and you want to see changes immediately you can use “Apply settings” button. When this button is clicked new message in ApplicationExchange table is created and appropriate user application is notified to reload settings cache. This will work only when application exchange token is set (Global → System → Application exchange token) and admin backend have to had direct access to user application through port 80 (HTTP).

By default application settings are reloaded every time when application is restarted.
